  • Ontario Works assists qualifying residents of Ontario with employment and financial assistance, such as support for basic needs and shelter.

  • The Ontario Disability Support Program provides income support, benefits for health costs, and other disability support for qualifying residents of Ontario.

  • Newcomers can register with the Health Care Connect Program to find a family doctor or nurse practitioner in their area.

  • The Ontario Coalition of Service Providers for Refugee Claimants provides a list of refugee shelters and agencies who work with vulnerable populations across Southern Ontario.

  • The CCVT can connect individuals who are survivors of torture with a range of settlement services, including orientation and information, individual support counselling, and referrals to other services for newcomers.
